Legal and Organizational:
The account has been opened at Stifel-Nicolaus. Barbara, Linda, and Dan will meet to propose a solution to the playground, septic, parking, etc. issues. They will report back to the Board ASAP, but not later than October.
Architecture and Restoration:
Joe Campbell of North Branch is preparing the CMH for the HHT. A/R committee will man the building for the HHT. The electric meter issue is still not resolved.
Publicity and Fundraising:
Doug discussed the Navy Band concert. There was a full house at the buffet. It was well received. There were over 400 at the concert and 165 at the dinner. A standing ovation was given to Doug and Gloria for all their effort.
HOME TOUR:
Newport Spiffy Clean will clean the Stone Barn before the gala. The CMH painting will be on display as well as other art. Raffle tickets continue to be sold. 8 prints have been sold. Gloria has asked the Town for free police, but has not heard. 224 tickets have been sold for HHT. All homeowners have been given 2 tickets each to the Gala. HHT is under control and we will get a full report in September.
LCHIP – Bill, Dan and Doug will attend the grant writing workshop if space is available. Otherwise just one of the 3 will attend.
We need to get outside input on how much money to ask the Town to contribute. We need to decide on the amount by October to be ready for budget presentations.
Membership: Report was not given.
Other: Doug moved to spend up to $200,000 to re-install the tower. Barbara seconded. Doug feels that although the money is tight we need to do it. Much discussion ensued. The motion passed 5-1. Bill will call North Branch and give them the go ahead.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm
